‘SOUTHWATER’ Goods Yard Tank Engine

In 1891, the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) built SOUTHWATER at a cost of £1,931.  It was initially numbered 162.  SOUTHWATER was used for shunting duties in works depots and was based at the LB&SCR New Cross Locomotive Depot, London.  These photographs show SOUTHWATER in the LB&SCR livery.
