Southwater Surgery

The Village Surgery offers community-based healthcare to over 11000 residents from Southwater and the surrounding areas. Our experienced clinical team of Doctors, Paramedics, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Pharmacists offers face to face, telephone appointments, e-consultations and home visits for housebound patients, when needed.  Appointments can be requested by telephone, online or in person. We offer extended access appointments Wednesday evening and telephone appointments Saturday morning. We are a training practice and support doctors who are training to specialise in General Practice, trainee nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Alongside managing both acute conditions and long-term chronic conditions, additional services available within The Village Surgery include phlebotomy, NHS health checks, family planning, minor surgery, fertility, travel vaccinations, smoking cessation and ear syringing. We provide investigations such as ECGs, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, spirometry and FENO testing for asthma within the surgery. We are able to book other services, such as micro suction, at Courtyard Surgery, through our Primary Care Network,  where appropriate. Outside services including Dermatology, Audiology and the Citizens Advice Bureau hold clinics within the surgery, for those who have been referred.

We work pro-actively with our community nursing colleagues and our care-coordinator is available to help support patients and families with social or care needs. Our Patient Participation Group, meets regularly to support practice improvement. Please contact the surgery is you are interested in joining,

We welcome new patients who live in the area and wish to register with us. Free parking is available on site.
